Money Shot (book review)

Money Shot (Hard Case Crime #40) Christa Faust

I picked this book up at a dollar tree for-you guessed it-a dollar. So, i was very pleased that it turned out to be so good. The world of the porn industry is only the backdrop to the story, but I was impressed with the way the character described all the graphic ins and outs (no pun intended) with such a nonchalant point of view. It went a long way in developing the heroin as someone who'd been in the business for a long time.

Malloy was a great contrast to everyone else in the story. He's sort of the hard nosed former detective turned P.I. type that could have jumped right out of a Mickey Spillane novel dropped right into the materialistic mayhem that is L.A.

The storyline was right on target for the series, a graphic and rough criminal world that exist all around everyday life and a heroin that wont stop until she has her revenge on those that have wronged her.

This is the first of this series that I've read, but I defiantly want to explore more of it. Back to the dollar tree!
